Elf Bag

Oh, the number of nights I have laid awake and thought about making the cute little elf bag! I finally took the plunge. Here she is, all decked out for the holidays & it's only the beginning of November. This makes me want to pull out the Christmas decorations and play Christmas music. (Okay, I had some hot chocolate today & giggled!) Keeley loves it & what a relief. I spent hours embroidering and then hand sewing all the details on it. I will now lose sleep tonight just trying to dream up a sweet little name for the adorable elf. Any suggestions? For now, on to the next project... Wanting to do more Christmas, but I'll be good and work on my current orders. Stinkers!

Witch Bag

I really grin every time I see this bag. It takes just the right person to bestow this gift upon... Can you even guess who I made it for?? (Listen to the drum roll.) It was especially made for none other than... my lovely mother-in-law. Go on, laugh. That is soooo stinkin' funny! I did ask her ahead of time to make sure she would think it was as funny as I did & she gave me the green light. I actually adore my mother-in-law and think she's quite extraordinary. She has an incredible sense of humor and I love spending time with her. Shall I plot an evil bag for Thanksgiving or Christmas??? Oh, my mind is spinning. Never forget to have fun in life. And mommies, cross your legs--you might wet your pants! :)

Annee's Bag

Sweet little girls deserve sweet little bags! This was truly a one day project I had to cram and finish. Not sure if procrastination is bad (no house cleaning that day) or good (lets inspiration bubble out and just have fun!). The only criteria was that it had to be pink and yellow. I dug and dug from my little stash and came up with just enough matching fabric. Yes, that's a cloth napkin with the fringe still attached. Dying to make more like this, but duty calls today. I'll have to lose sleep all weekend thinking up the next fabulous color scheme, trick my husband on Monday to make it look like I was the perfect housewife and cleaned all day, and then find my next victim for a little patchwork bag! Giggle, giggle, giggle... Life is grand!

Peighton's Halloween Bag

Oh, the wicked witch who is not so wicked... It's a posh Halloween Bag for a super special little girl! I fell in love with this applique design and it's stolen my heart. I think it's soooo stinkin' cute! Almost as cute as bitty Peighton... It has inspired the start of Halloween decorating in our house and everyone is getting excited. I am not a Halloween fan, but have decorated the mantle for Halloween for the first time in life. Shocking, I'm living on the wild side today! Watch out world, I may even dress up for Halloween this year. Shall I play tricks on my family or give them treats??!!??!

Flower Necklace

Well, bat your eyelashes when you look at this! Can you believe how sweet it looks?! I saw it on www.lollychops.com and fell in love with these necklaces! Lolly's creations are so much prettier than this & I hope you go to her site to see what she has made. They really are simple and super fun to make. I only had a small window to try and whip one up yesterday. Things were flying through the air in my craft room while I dug for supplies. Then I ran upstairs to glue it all together. One eye was watching wild children & the other eye was creating this. Can life get any better than that? Love your family with all your heart. Thank God for all that He has given you.

First Aid Kit

All girls need a first aid kit. AND all girls need a posh first aid kit! Love the clear front so you can easily see what to grab quickly. I have now modified my "teacher survival kits" to have the clear front as well. For those of you who don't know me, each year I make "teacher survival kits" for my children's teachers (with the exception of our new male teacher--he doesn't seem to be into ruffles so much...). We fill them with little essentials: lotion, nail clippers, Tylenol, mints, etc. You get the idea. And this bag is all mine! It goes everywhere with us. You know how young men tend to gawk at pretty ladies? Well, that's what other women do to this bag. Don't worry, I keep a close eye on her, remind her to be modest, and not talk to strangers. Are you giggling??

Sophia's BackPack

Look at this sweet little backpack! I made it for a toddler going to preschool. It is a simple drawstring bag just the right size for a beautiful child. The dangling ballet frog was included by special request & adds the giggle factor! Sophia is quite proud to be a big girl with her very own school bag. Inside there's a special bag for potty accidents: it's lined with waterproof material, flaunting ruffles, and monogrammed with "wet happened." So funny! The teachers really got a kick out of that. I was at a loss for finding fabric... we ended up with a shower curtain on the outside and lined it with a crib sheet (also the straps). Giggle again!! Always find time in your day to laugh. It brightens your soul and everyone around you. My mother has always giggled her way through life. It's fabulous and I love our daily chats (and giggles!).
