Elf Bag

Oh, the number of nights I have laid awake and thought about making the cute little elf bag! I finally took the plunge. Here she is, all decked out for the holidays & it's only the beginning of November. This makes me want to pull out the Christmas decorations and play Christmas music. (Okay, I had some hot chocolate today & giggled!) Keeley loves it & what a relief. I spent hours embroidering and then hand sewing all the details on it. I will now lose sleep tonight just trying to dream up a sweet little name for the adorable elf. Any suggestions? For now, on to the next project... Wanting to do more Christmas, but I'll be good and work on my current orders. Stinkers!

Witch Bag

I really grin every time I see this bag. It takes just the right person to bestow this gift upon... Can you even guess who I made it for?? (Listen to the drum roll.) It was especially made for none other than... my lovely mother-in-law. Go on, laugh. That is soooo stinkin' funny! I did ask her ahead of time to make sure she would think it was as funny as I did & she gave me the green light. I actually adore my mother-in-law and think she's quite extraordinary. She has an incredible sense of humor and I love spending time with her. Shall I plot an evil bag for Thanksgiving or Christmas??? Oh, my mind is spinning. Never forget to have fun in life. And mommies, cross your legs--you might wet your pants! :)

Annee's Bag

Sweet little girls deserve sweet little bags! This was truly a one day project I had to cram and finish. Not sure if procrastination is bad (no house cleaning that day) or good (lets inspiration bubble out and just have fun!). The only criteria was that it had to be pink and yellow. I dug and dug from my little stash and came up with just enough matching fabric. Yes, that's a cloth napkin with the fringe still attached. Dying to make more like this, but duty calls today. I'll have to lose sleep all weekend thinking up the next fabulous color scheme, trick my husband on Monday to make it look like I was the perfect housewife and cleaned all day, and then find my next victim for a little patchwork bag! Giggle, giggle, giggle... Life is grand!

Peighton's Halloween Bag

Oh, the wicked witch who is not so wicked... It's a posh Halloween Bag for a super special little girl! I fell in love with this applique design and it's stolen my heart. I think it's soooo stinkin' cute! Almost as cute as bitty Peighton... It has inspired the start of Halloween decorating in our house and everyone is getting excited. I am not a Halloween fan, but have decorated the mantle for Halloween for the first time in life. Shocking, I'm living on the wild side today! Watch out world, I may even dress up for Halloween this year. Shall I play tricks on my family or give them treats??!!??!

Flower Necklace

Well, bat your eyelashes when you look at this! Can you believe how sweet it looks?! I saw it on www.lollychops.com and fell in love with these necklaces! Lolly's creations are so much prettier than this & I hope you go to her site to see what she has made. They really are simple and super fun to make. I only had a small window to try and whip one up yesterday. Things were flying through the air in my craft room while I dug for supplies. Then I ran upstairs to glue it all together. One eye was watching wild children & the other eye was creating this. Can life get any better than that? Love your family with all your heart. Thank God for all that He has given you.

First Aid Kit

All girls need a first aid kit. AND all girls need a posh first aid kit! Love the clear front so you can easily see what to grab quickly. I have now modified my "teacher survival kits" to have the clear front as well. For those of you who don't know me, each year I make "teacher survival kits" for my children's teachers (with the exception of our new male teacher--he doesn't seem to be into ruffles so much...). We fill them with little essentials: lotion, nail clippers, Tylenol, mints, etc. You get the idea. And this bag is all mine! It goes everywhere with us. You know how young men tend to gawk at pretty ladies? Well, that's what other women do to this bag. Don't worry, I keep a close eye on her, remind her to be modest, and not talk to strangers. Are you giggling??

Sophia's BackPack

Look at this sweet little backpack! I made it for a toddler going to preschool. It is a simple drawstring bag just the right size for a beautiful child. The dangling ballet frog was included by special request & adds the giggle factor! Sophia is quite proud to be a big girl with her very own school bag. Inside there's a special bag for potty accidents: it's lined with waterproof material, flaunting ruffles, and monogrammed with "wet happened." So funny! The teachers really got a kick out of that. I was at a loss for finding fabric... we ended up with a shower curtain on the outside and lined it with a crib sheet (also the straps). Giggle again!! Always find time in your day to laugh. It brightens your soul and everyone around you. My mother has always giggled her way through life. It's fabulous and I love our daily chats (and giggles!).

Here are some super cute bags for one super cute teeny-bop!! Happy birthday beautiful Lyci! We decided that this diva needed many bags for her busy life. Go on and squeal, I did! I LOVE to surprise special people. This child is dear to my heart and I stitched up her little bags with joy in my heart. Still smiling thinking about her... Try a happy thought yourself, it's fabu.

Necklaces??

Not only does this shirt make me giggle, I was actually skipping while it stitched out! I love the design and was super excited to find it. How cute would it be on a newborn's onsie! This one will be paired with frilly tulle skirt. No matter how young or old, all girls like to feel pretty. Be bold, wear something with flare...

Sophia's Third Birthday

Oh, the joy of being three!! This child is full of life & upon her third birthday. I made the cute shirt as a surprise & happened to show it to her early... Sweet Sophia told me she wanted to look like a "tupcake" for her birthday. Well say no more, cupcake you will be! If only the picture could give the skirt justice. It's reversable. The alternate side flaunts a pink belt and delicate pink plaid (with sparkles no less) bubble skirt. It took hours to complete, but totally worth it when she squealed in delight with it on! Don't we all wish life were that simple?! Sooooo, don't forget to appreciate all the small things in life. They really are very important!

The Gym Bag

This toile bag goes to a sweet soul. I do believe she's a toile lover! The request was made for a gym bag (and to look like this!). I think I would probably go to the spa with it instead...It does scream girly girl, which I support 100 percent!! There's nothing wrong with being pretty (even when you're sweaty). Don't forget to keep your insides pretty too (just eat a healthy diet and center your life around Christ--its that simple). Go on and giggle. I am!

Baby Bloomers & Socks

I know several little babies that have recently been born & I have begun making their pretties! Bloomers were my kickoff. What's better than a cute bum!! I also got the coolest gadget to ease the pain of monogramming socks. I now sing while making them (instead of yelling horrible words!). Show a little love today, it goes a long way. Being nice is much more simple than being mean!

Sophia's Kitty Tank Top

Did you know that I love cats? I have two Devon Rex kitties that are cute as can be. One day I shall feature them on this blog... So, here's a cute tank top with a sweet kitty! I hope Sophia loves it. So funny, both kitties are on the desk right now with me & super curious about what I'm doing! Where's my camera?? I think they're being lady-like and waiting on me to go to bed and snuggle them. You never know how important your love and affection can be to others (people too!!). Remember to show the side of yourself you want remembered most!!

Swirly Pillowcase Dress

Pure happiness to play outside in the sun (and in a cute dress!) This sweet little model did not have time to hold still. You only get a backside view! The dress is tied with a bow only on one side. I added a rolled hem edge to the ruffle and love it. I have another one cut out and I'm dying to finish it. It has huge flowers and a zebra print ruffle. I suppose it will have to wait for another day. Patience is a hard lesson.

Isabella's Ballet Bag

Pink is simply precious. It's a happy day at my house to sew something pink. This little ballet bag even has bitty flowers at the ends of the drawstrings. More pink to come soon... Lots of ideas swirling around in my head--I just need time to execute everything!! Poo poo to laundry, cleaning, and cooking! My spring flowers have been planted and my cheeks kissed by the sun. I will steal a tish of inside time to let my craft room come back to life! I'm off...

Zoe's Gift

Here's baby Zoe's gift. Just the name alone is so incredibly cute! I made her a sweet little diaper bag with crazy fun ruffles. I hope it's a hit. I fell in love with it. I LOVE making baby gifts. Thanks to everyone who asks me to create for them! Do something soooo fun today you can't stop smiling. I did!

Boo Boo Bags

This makes me smile! Boo Boo Bags are just made from scraps of fabric and filled with white rice. Pop them in the freezer, run and get them out when your little one cries from bumps or bruises. My kids love them. Okay, I do too! I have made up another batch of these to donate to a local women's center who will give them to new mommies. All the ladies in my family work together to support the organization & we love coming up with new ideas and things to send in. I have about 50! So many little hands have scooped rice for days to fill them. Truely they are filled with love!!!

Car Bag

Here is a sweet bag I have made for a mommy and her little angel. It is designed to hook (on the backside) to her carseat and hold all her toys. No pink????!?? Well, the mommy decided that her sweet child had everything pink, and this would be a nice change. So here's my funny: all of the inside stitching was done with pink thread! I giggled the entire time I was making it. So fear not girly girls, there's pink inside!! With that, today's tip is to think outside of the box. (And don't forget to giggle.)

Black & White Bag

This sweet bag was ordered by one of my most favorite customers. I really enjoyed making it while visiting with some of my best friends!! Super girly, super cute. It was made to be a laundry bag. How posh is it to go on vacation and be able to separate your clean clothes from dirty ones (and with such style, of course!) I have made these bags for several people in my family & it's always a hit. Mine is really big to accomodate the babes and myself. Goes with us on weekend trips & all our summer vacas. I have made them for others who simply use it for their dry cleaning. Why not surprise someone you love with one? I am a firm believer in random acts of kindness. Try it, you'll like it!

Gymnastics Leo

Look at this little cutie. I made her a special leo for gymnastics. If you could only see the huge smile on her face! (Sorry folks, this child is under the Posh Protection Program!) In the works are her cute little gym pants to match. They are hot pink and will have her name across the bum. Oh Darling, she is so divine! It's always a great day to be beautiful.

Hair Bows

Look how cute!!! Who knew bow making could be so fun. I decided the other day that sometimes to get what you want in life you must do it for yourself! I have made several styles already & have happy little girls wearing them. The long-tailed bows are attached to a little ponytail holder and will go to a sweet birthday girl this weekend. Don't be afraid to take charge in life ladies. Be bold, be honest, and be happy!!!

Cute Skirt

Just needed a little flare for the day & whipped up this little skirt. Isn't it cute?! I am so ready for warm weather and twirly skirts. Tank tops and sun. Long days and playing. Swimming... Will summer ever come?

P.S. Madelon--look at the other cutie in the pic! What a fun day!!

Keeley's Lamp

Okay, Okay... I hear the complaints. Sooo sorry I haven't blogged in a while. The holiday season kept me super busy sewing and this little princess needed time off! I have lingered over silly magazines, sipped on coffee, and giggled with my family. By the way, my husband is so stinkin' dreamy! We have been together over 16 years and I am so in love with him. Thumbs up to the great men of this world! Anyways, I have been doing some little sewing projects this month, but have neglected to photograph them. So I've dug up this old photo to share with you. This is a beautiful antique lamp my father bought one of my children. It came with the plainest white lamp shade you can imagine. The posh wheels started turning and here's the result! I bought a lovely baby dress and slightly modified it to cover the lampshade. It truely is beautiful. Now here's my food for thought: Last week my Mamaw gave me this phrase, "Blessed are those who can give without remembering and take without forgetting."
-Princess Elizabeth Asquith Bibesco. Think about it... Have a blessed week!
